Description: The project proposes a new approach to reduce pressure pulsations in hydraulic turbines by using a runner whose speed is controlled by a magneto-rheological device. The control device will be based on a magneto-rheological fluid (a magneto-rheological brake respectively) which will control the runner speed in real time depending by the conical diffuser wall pressure. http://mh.mec.upt.ro/cnisfc/index.aspx?p=Magneto-rheological device
