Description: “NATO - Science for Peace” - Instituto De Cooperacao Scientifica e Technologia International _ INVOTAN _ Programa de Cooperacao “OUTRECH”, 01.10.2000 – 31.09.2001; This work was completed at INEGI – Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management, in the Department CEMACOM – Unidade de Materiais Compositos, under the sponsorship of “NATO - Science for Peace” and under the care of ICCTI – Instituto de Cooperacao Cientifica e Tecnologgia Internacional. Some Experimental work was also done at the Romanian Academy – Timisoara Branch, Centre for Fundamental and Advanced Technical Research, Magnetic Fluid Laboratory, and in the “Politehnica” University of Timisoara, NCISFC _ National Center for Engineering of Systems with Complex Fluids. The paper work present different views regarding the characteristics of the new category of magnetic nanocomposites produced using magnetic nanofluids. The main aim of this research is to emphasize the existing correlations between different proportions of resins, nanaomagnetic fluids as well reinforcement elements and the mechanical characteristics.
