Description: Abstract: Polymer ultrasonic welding of thermoplastic materials is an established method widely used in industry for several applications. Much research work has been done in order to design the proper machinery for each use, to prepare general models of ultrasonic welding, and to explain the mechanism of healing in polymer-polymer interfaces. This paper will introduce a novel technology for manufacturing of magnetic nanocomposites, from stacked polymer foils with intermediate sandwiched layers of magnetic nanoparticles, by means of solid-state surface ultrasonic welding.
